Pro Series ModelsJapanese-built Takamine Pro Series guitars can be reliably dated from the eight-digit serial numbers typically found at the neck block inside the instruments.The first two digits designate the year of manufacture, followed by two digits denoting the month. The remaining four digits denote the instrument’s sequential number of manufacture among all the instruments made during the month indicated.For example, serial number 07100091 indicates a guitar built in 2007 (07), in October of that year (10), and that it was the 91st guitar made that month (0091). Similarly, serial number 09050112 indicates the 112th guitar made during May 2009.In mid/late 2012, US distributed Japanese-built guitars switched to the year designation that guitars distributed in Japan use.

Just in this is the great Ibanez FA300 series pro jazz box built by master luthiers over 37 years ago. This baby has been well taken care of all these years to the neck is excellent nice and straight and action playability is easy it's low an effortless to run with and a real pleasure as the intonation is excellent as well it stays in tune well with its original star tuners, 1-11/16ths at the nut same as my Gibson, frets are still very good with 90% remaining.Electronics are spot on as well the Super 70s sing.

Fancy archtop inlaied ebony bridge matching it's dark EBONY fingerboard. Fancy classic trapeze bridge, this one has its original pickguard too and it's still very nice I have seen countless high end jazz guitars with the pickguards and the bindings shot and crumbling but this guitar does not have that the bindings are good not cracking a slight aging arround the bindings can be seen on its back but that's nothing of concern. Overall very clean example here and much better than average condition for a 37 year old it's quite remarkable really.

Finish is very nice and still shines like glass, previous owner moved the strap button from original placement on its back to a spot on center heel then back to the back location I have filled and touched that spot up brush tip only it looks good now and won't continue to chip it's sealed one again just a tiny brush tip spot. Ok this one is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION like Mint! We'll let this Hi Class Beautiful Japanese example of the famous signature George Benson GB10 with its hand signed label by George himself speak for itself. This is an amazing example of the amazingly Terada plants workmanship well crafted JCRAFT figured blond Ibanez GB10 your going to love this one. 10 year old clean examples in this kind of condition don't come up very often and they tend to sell fast.

About this example Iv gone over head to to its VERY well preserved in very good to excellent vintage condition. No actual wood cracks. Thats a good start, neck is nice and straight medium C profile 1-11/16ths at the nut - excellent, frets are good we did a minimal fret level and crown and dressing during its set up work which included clean and de-grime- the entire guitar top to bottom carefully not to take away its beautiful natural aging patina.rehydrate woods 'lemon oil ' its rosewood fingerboard and bridge which is also nice deco ebony wood.Hardware is chrome and overall still quite nice looking better than most I must say as is its bindings. Bindings on some of these vintage guitars can be a problem same with the Gibson this example has excellent bindings. The top is a very nice straight grained Sitka Spruce the sides and neck are mahogany, back maple, the fingerboard is rosewood and bridge is Ebony. Its headstock is also the open book Gibby style as is its mother of pearl Greco logo and crown motif like the gibson from a few feet away.humm. Anyway I also changed the truss rod cover to the Gibson type for an overall improvement visually.

The finish still shines up beautifully and is a thin poly the Japanese mastered and rivals the Nitro lacquer the US used back in the day but stands the test of time better as it is more durable than nitro. Thin skin so tone resonates beautifully and look at it after all these years upon closet inspection in certain light I see fine finish hair checking to its top clear coat not into the wood not excessive and evenly across the top you have to get up very close inches from it to see this you do not feel its vintage patina and is natural aging and is beautiful on this guitar. Have a good look colors still vibrant and excellently preserved a true vintage guitar in its own right and is sure to please. The Tuners are the preferred from FujiGen Gakki of the late 1970's-mid80's or so seen on so many of their higher end guitars from that factory. They were used on Ibanez and some Electra and others and in this case the Greco. Electronics are also great the pickups are the great era super 70's style know as great Paf replicas and sound great to this day no need to swap anything out here. This guitar at one time the previous owner put on a Bigsby we removed that and installed this vintage Gibson correct piece I filled 2 tiny holed in top with spruce dust and glue then top coated with tiny brush tip lacquer closely tinted to fade it away barely noticeable at a couple feet away, then entire guitar was polished and now she's in great shape and ready to serve well for another 40 years with care.
